THE VERSATILES -- Creative Radio Promotion LP -- ex. rare, original mid-1960's (??) U.S. album. Wonderful and unintentionally hilarious DJ-only album of various Promotional Jingles performed in classic mid-1960's Bachelor Pad/Space Age style by an anonymous vocal group called The Versatiles for radio stations KLIF in Dallas, WKMH in Detroit etc. (the label name, "Futursonic Productions," should tell you where they're coming from ...) These were meant to be played as lead-in tracks between songs or deejay patter on radio stations, and each jingle is themed around a different day & time of the week -- i.e. there's one for Monday morning, afternoon and evening; Tuesday morning, afternoon & evening etc. -- making it something of a Sixties Bachelor Pad-era concept album in a whacky sorta way. Sample lyrics: "Hooray for Friday morning, that wonderful day that starts the weekend ...!" A very obscure LP - I've never seen another copy. Cover: VG/VG+, 5" split at lower right corner and 2" split lower left corner, ring wear and wear at corners. Record: VG+, light surface wear, overall clean, on Futursonic Productions private label, U.S. press.
