Description
Thelonious Monk "Genius of Modern Music" on Blue Note records 2 record set Volume 1 and Volume 2
Vol 1 appears to be from 1956 or 57, as the label has the Lexington Ave address that changed in 1958 to 47 West 63rd St on the labels
Vol 2 has the later address so I put that at 1959
Both volumes have the deep groove in the Blue Note Label
Both have the Plastylite P or "ear" and the RVG etched in the runouts.
Both records are in nearly perfect condition. I can't give a MINT for Vol2 as there is a minor "ding" on track 3 side 2. (see photo) I have play tested it and it the flaw is inaudible.
The cardboard sleeves are split on multiple sides, see photos. However, they are intact and can be repaired.
Vol 1 has some paper loss upper front where it looks like a price tag was removed
Inner sleeves: Vol 1 is completely intact. Vol2 has some paper loss at the top
