Up for Auction is an Australian, First Pressing EP of
Led Zeppelin
"This Is Led Zeppelin"
This EP was released with a spelling mistake in the band's name on the label on side two.
Once the spelling mistake was discovered, the record was quickly recalled and destroyed and promptly re-issued with the correct spelling on the label
Only a very few of these EP's with the spelling mistake were sold and they are extremely rare and highly sought after as they are a true first pressing.
Most people possess the much more common, re-issued, second pressing, which still brings $80-$150 in NEAR MINT condition. This is the "ZEPPELING" label printing mistake that makes this EP extremely rare! ! !
CONDITION:
The Record
The record is bright, shiny, & clean. In normal lighting conditions it appears NEAR MINT, but once you look at the record under bright, artificial light you can see some a few, very light, surface hairlines, almost invisible, but still in pristine condition.
Record Play
On side one the record crackles lightly in the background at the very start and then half way through the first song, in a quiet spot it ticks or pops about five times in a row and continues on. Apart from that, it plays right through perfectly.

for a few seconds & then disappears. Plays excellently.
The record is graded NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT.
The Record Labels
The record labels are graded NEAR MINT as they are bright, shiny, crisp and clean.
No spindle wear or damage and the record appears to have had very little play.
The Jacket
The record jacket has a slight bit of minor wear along the jacket entrance at the front. Top, front, right, a few small, minor creases in the laminate. A few minor creases on the back, at the top and a very light, grime line back, far right. Apart from that, it’s just about pristine and you will not find better, after all, it was made in 1971!
The EP jacket is graded EXCELLENT/VERY GOOD PLUS.
