Tony Sheridan & The Beatles - ‘My Bonnie / The Saints'. NH 66833

Tony Sheridan & The Beatles 1962 UK ‘SAMPLE / DEMO’ pressing of the ’My Bonnie / The Saints’ 7” single. Released on the 5th January 1962, this was originally the property of ATV Music Library (see a-side label).

Released on the Polydor scroll label, both sides feature the ‘Recording first published 1961’ text and have ‘Mfd. by Deutsche Gramophone (Great Britain) Ltd’ rim print.

This is the record which started everything for The Beatles and is their first appearance on a commercial disc. It pre-dates the release of ’Love Me Do’ by a massive 9 months. A rare and early Beatles vinyl.

ATV was a publishing company which actually owned the publishing rights to most of The Beatles' songs. It was famously bought by Michael Jackson in 1985 much to the annoyance of Paul McCartney.

The matrix numbers are:

Side 1: NH 66833 A-1 V V 1

Side 2: NH 66833 B-1 V V 1

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
