PLEASE PLEASE ME (Mono Black & Gold Labels)
**ORIGINAL 1963 PARLOPHONE MONO (PMC 1202) UK LP **
This is a really nice example and one of the cleanest I have seen, this is normally in poor condition, this is a real clean example with really nice labels and correct E J Day Cover. This is a 1st issue with Dick James credits on both labels, there is NO wighting or pen marks on the record and cover, rare for this as a 1st pressing.
The Cover
The cover is is nice clean and strong condition with nice clean lamination, this is a correct 1st issue E J Day cover with the Angus McBean credit pushed to the far right hand side of the cover. The cover has some creasing but noting serious with some corner wear, the flipbacks are still intact with some scuffing to the edges of them, but the cover is in better shape than normal for this 1st press cover as you will see below. I will grade the cover a strict Very Good+ condition by my strict standards .
The Record
The Lp plays really well, under harsh light there is some light surface wear only with a small mark on A Taste Of Honey that causes a couple of clicks and is deeper than a surface mark (this is really small). For a 1st issue Black & Gold this is better than normal with a nice original natural gloss, even when graded under harsh light. I will grade the LP as Very Good+ condition and is a nice example of this rare LP. The playgrade of this LP is also really great and I will say Near Excellent due to the couple of clicks on a Taste Of Honey with light wear, A nice sounding 1st pressing. Please note there are NO jumps or repeats. The disc has RM / 1 - GO 1 2 Stamping codes.

The Labels
Both labels are in really clean and really nice shape for this LP, there are NO wighting or tears and the Gold printing is really clear as you will see with light wear only. The labels are rare in this condition. The tax code is MT, with Dick James credits on both labels, a 1st pressing.
The Lp is housed in it's original condition super condition polylined EMITEX inner cover.
We use the UK grading system E.G. /VG / EX / MINT. We also use + and - if there are slight differences between the grades.
