Description
Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Media: Vinyl LP Record
First Pressing US 1966 on Rainbow Rim Capitol Label and not a reissue!
Cat No. DT-2458
Condition
Vinyl: VERY GOOD+. This is a well cared for record and the vinyl retains an excellent sheen. On visual inspection under a bright light I could only see only a couple of superficial surface marks on each side. On play testing the sound is of excellent quality and there is only light, brief and intermittent background noise. Most people I suspect would grade as near mint but I prefer to grade conservatively, especially with rare and valuable vinyl such as this.
Cover: NEAR MINT. The cover is still in its original shrink wrap which is only open at the opening edge of the cover. Please not the sticker remnant and blue sticker visible on the photographs are on the shrink wrap and not on the cover itself. There is a small tear in the shrink at the top edge where the initials KE have been written on the top of the cover in ink but very small print (see photograph). Overall I did not feel that this warranted a downgrading in the condition as overall it is a superb example.
Inner:. Plain white inner which I assume is the original has some foxing/discoloration.
Labels: VERY GOOD+. Initials KE in ink but very small type written in rim of side 2 label (see photograph)
