Artist : The Beach Boys Title : Pet Sounds Catalogue Number : ST 2458  Matrix : DT1 2458 B20 / A19 Mothers Stampers : 1A / 1A Issue : This is a UK 1st Press. This earliest press has the rainbow Capitol label with the logo at 9 o’clock, the very earliest 1A/1A mothers and stampers and the earliest B20 / A19 matrix. It is complete with the original inner comoany inner sleeve and laminated, flipback Patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. Vinyl Condition : The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition. The vinyl has the original jet black gloss, the grooves show no sign of age or heavy play. There are a couple of small light marks and a very light mark otherwise every track gleams. The vinyl is complete with the original inner sleeve also in EXCELLENT condition. Label Condition : The label is in EXCELLENT condition. The black is bold, the colours are vivid and the text is sharp. There is just a little spindle wear. Sleeve Condition : The laminated flipback sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. The laminate is superb, the colours are bright and the picture is sharp. The back of the sleeve has just a little discolouration but it is still extremely clean. The white is bright, the black text is sharp and the flipbacks and complete and sealed. Play Condition : The sound quality is EXCELLENT. There are a couple of moments of light noise but the sound is bold, vibrant and clear from start to finish.
