The Beatles 1970 Let It Be Boxed Set, Mint Book, 2U 2U Matrix, Tray Replaced
I bought this LP back in 1970 when it was released.
Working from the outside the condition is as follows:
Slip cover: wear to corners, top left edge is coming unstuck, very slight wear to opening edges, several small wrinkles at opening edges - 2 on each front edge and 1 to back edge, tiny red dot on back, a few dent lines which show against the light. No writing, stickers, tears or bits missing.
Tray wrap around: wear to edges, creases in the side flaps, no writing, tears or missing bits.
Tray: new one purchased on Ebay some time ago with 12" by 12" backing card.
Book: is in near mint condition. A little laminate lifting along the length of the binding edge on front. 1 small ding to middle bottom front edge 1.5 cm wide by 2mm high. Tiny scrape - 3mm long - approx 3 cm from bottom right corner on edge. Similar one to left top edge. No creasing to spine - it had never been opened!
LP cover: tiny amount of wear to corners. No writing, stickers, tears or missing bits.
Front: Very slight ring wear to the top - lost its shine but is still black. 2 creases to right near edge; 3 creases to George's photo; a few tiny wrinkles to top and bottom edges on front; line dent - looks like someone lent on it to write a note and underlined something (cannot see writing just line). These slight imperfections only show against the light.
Back: Again very slight ring wear to the top - lost its shine but is still black. Crease to bottom left corner, one laminate wrinkle to bottom edge, slight loss of shine along bottom edge where the fold under flap is glued down. Visible only against light. Tiny amount of wear to bottom edge and opening edge.
Spine: looks slightly flat but is the fold over type not the boxy kind. No wear at all.
Inner sleeve: is plain white - I don't know if it's the orginal one. It's printed with PATENT NO. 1.125.555. and MADE IN ENGLAND.
Vinyl record:
Matrix numbers: A-side - YEX 773 - 2U B-side - YEX 774 - 2U
Labels: are in excellent condition. No writing, stickers, tears or bits missing. The only fault I can see are faint spindle marks which show against the light.
Vinyl: looks amazingly clean and shiny for its age. Just inspected it under a halogen light and there are some light sleeve scuffs on both sides.
Sound: I have played it all the way through on both sides and it sounds fabulous. The only faults I could hear were on the A-side right at the start of Track 1 there is a slight pop. On the B-side there is one tiny pop near the start of Track 5.

The vinyl record will be packed in a master sleeve, will stuff the slip cover with record mailer stiffeners, also the record cover, and pack the whole lot in a proper record mailing box with plenty of packing material.
