Description

A beautiful genuine UK 1st stereo press...perhaps one of the best I've witnessed. The labels are genuine 1st press - note the large bold font "STEREO"..only very 1st. Also note that ALL publishing credits are over on the left side of the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo 1st issue cover. Also included is the original sepia toned Emi inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly been very carefully looked after down the years. Struggling to make out a single mark - really stunning surfaces. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with slightest deviation as detailed below. Some 'Collection' copies can disappoint a bit from an audio perspective, but this one impresses in all the right areas. Lovely clear bold and clean audio - precisely what any serious collector should be insisting upon. Expect the odd crackle in a few occasional/isolated spots per side. The only tracks I'm picking up anything vaguely audible is in 'Michelle' & "Eleanor Rigby" - expect a touch of light static here and there [not intrusive at all]. Michelle is still a top sounding track on this copy...much better than you typically find. Overall a top performer which would be difficult to better...
Cover (Ex) Wow, what a beautiful specimen. This copy has totally avoided the ageing process..and I mean completely...which is quite unusual. Lovely shiny front with only two tiny thumbnail creases. The rear is borderline faultless - with only one very slight issue..some text written neatly along the top edge. A small price to pay for a time traveller like this...Hardly any edge wear at all. A perfect spine and sharp openings. Overall great rigidity and you'd struggle to find another this well preserved.
Inner (Ex-) lightest ageing. No splits.
