Description

A genuine 1st mono from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N - 1st cut. Note that absolute 1st press is identifiable by the wide-body chubby font employed on these labels. Labels mention 'Parlophone' and 'recording 1st pub' - indicative of 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) Has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELENT level of playback with slight deviation in places. You've gotta take your hat off to the folk that pressed these records. A really nice player which is more than capable of delivering AHDN in great form. There's only light occasional background.... Perhaps a few isolated crackles in one track per side [I Love Her] per side. Given it's from '64 you've really got to be impressed! A very fine rendition - and priced to go!
Cover (Vg) A very nice clean front with just a few creases over toward the opening. The slight let down is a bit of foxing/ageing on the rear. Still very presentable overall with very little edge wear. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged in places. A couple of edge splits have been taped up.
