Description

1st pressing of A Hard Day's Night on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix -3N/-3N. Stampers 3-PP/5-PP. Cover manufactured by Ernest J Day. Original Emitex inner included.
Cover (Ex++) A really outstanding example. It is difficult believing this is a 1964 1st issue.... I doubt I've ever come across one in this kind of condition. Shiny front cover with no marks or indentations. Rear - totally free of fading...a very rare find indeed. Please note - sticker on the bottom corner. Flipbacks all in perfect condition and the spine is 100% intact. The cover is perfectly rigid like it was only purchased yesterday and the openings are still sharp. A real corker!
Vinyl (Ex) Again, whoever owned this record took real care with it. Judging by the labels this Lp has seen only minimal play. There's very little spindle wear at all and the vinyl surfaces look like a mirror with barely a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across loud and clear with very little interference at all. There are a couple of very light static crackles in a few of the quieter passages. But these are really only just audible and in no way spoil what is a very high standard of playback.
Emitex (Ex) Only very light ageing and one tiny rip [0.5 c.m.]..otherwise fantastic condition.
