Description
An original 1st press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 3N/3N. Stampers 1-TM/3-AP. Please note labels are perfectly consistent with very 1st press - 'Parlophone' mentioned in perimeter text and the text font is the chubbier version as found only on the very very 1st copies. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could make out a few light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. It's a very decent rendition without any annoying faults. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in the odd place - very minor and nothing remotely invasive. It plays nice and clean even in those quieter tracks and it's the very 1st 1964 press - what's not to like?
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front cover with just a bit of creasing in a couple of spots. The rear seems to have escaped the worst of the usual fading that so often afflicts these covers, but there are a few ageing spots. Edge wear is relatively light and the text on the spine is all readable. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
Emitex (Vg+) Very little ageing. But left and right side have relatively slight splits which have been taped up.
