Description

An original 1st mono press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 3N/3N - very 1st cut. Please note the label perimeter text mentions 'Parlophone' and 'recording 1st pub' is evident - all indicative of 1st issue. Very 1st pressings were made with the chubby font exhibited on this copy. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L mono cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. By and large a beautiful little player and there's little to find fault with. Interference is mostly absent. I could pick out a few minor crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. But by and large this copy delivers the upbeat numbers with aplomb and the low-key numbers clean. I really like it. A bit of background exhibiting in 'And I Love Her'. And then, momentarily, a touch of distortion in the high notes in 'When I Get Home' & 'I'll Be Back'. But it's only fleeting and nothing invasive or distracting. Highly recommended. 
Cover (Vg+) In very nice shape and has been looked after down the years. A lovely clean front with just a bit of creasing and a small tear [1.c.m.] at the opening. In order to reinforce the openings I have taped the interior section to strengthen it. The rear looks good and has escaped the worst ravages of the ageing process. All flipbacks are secure and intact. Only minor edge wear and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Only lightest ageing. No splits or writing.
