Description

An original 1st press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N. Please note the label design employs the chubby font and these pressings are the de facto very 1st of 1st pressings. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use.. There are a few light marks either side, and a superficial trial - but absolutely nothing heavy, or that's going to sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of spots per side [e.g. in 'If I Fell']. Nothing concerning at all - a very assured rendition from this true 1st press.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Nice clean front, but exhibiting a touch of ageing at the top and a few thumbnail crease toward the opening. The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process - just a bit around the opening. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) In great condition. No splits or markings.
