Description

1st pressing of Abbey Road on the UK Apple label from 1969. Heavy set vinyl. Matrix -2/-1. Stampers 2-MM/5GGA. No mention of 'Her Majesty' on the labels indicating that this is the first of the 1st pressings. Please note this copy comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) Looks to have only seen light use and remains in great condition. Under close inspection I can see a couple of light marks on both sides - but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with only occasional light interference. There are, however, a few crackles in the intros to both sides - but this is quite brief and the audio quickly settles down to an excellent standard of playback. Great clarity and resolution as you would hope for from these quality early pressings. 
Cover (Ex) It's still shiny front and back with vivid colours and only exhibits some very light ring wear. Edge wear is minimal. Overall the cover still retains great rigidity and the text on the spine is intact with only some light wear apparent. A beautiful example of this early original cover.
