Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label in 1969. Matrix 2/1 - 1st cut. Please note labels are consistent with 1st press and DO NOT mention 'her majesty' on side 2. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original slim spine cover - with that is-aligned Apple logo on the rear. We also have an original and correct 'patent applied' inner sleeve for the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very superficial light marks per side, a light trail on side 1 [which does sound momentarily]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across excellent clarity. Folk insist on the early copies because they were pressed heavy - and the audio contained within is superb. A nice clean player into those lower-key tracks like 'Here Comes the Sun' & 'Because'. Even the super fussy tracks YNGMYM and Sun King played pretty clean - not perfect but better than what tends to typically surface. The deviation is 4-5 clicks audible in the 2nd half of 'Maxwell's Hammer' caused by the mark mentioned above. One of them does sound like a momentary skip. It's not that noticeable and you certainly don't miss any vocal/lyric. A really nice and very enjoyable rendition. Recommended!
Cover (Vg+) This collectable 1st iteration is looking pretty good for it's relative age. The front and back are exhibiting a few creases. Nothing bad - but they are slightly more noticeable than you find on some examples. Edge wear is very limited. The spine is in excellent order with just a couple of small stress creases. Overall the cover retains very good
Inner (Vg+) A bit aged. But no splits.
