The Beatles Abbey Road LP UK 1st Press "No Her Majesty" [Ex/Ex+] LOOK

	£		60
	$		80

Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 - very 1st cut. The labels do not mention "Her Majesty" and are the very 1st iteration available of AR. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover. We also have the original black inner sleeve. The LP will be transported in a poly-lined inner for maximum protection. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out  a couple of light marks per side, and one superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. Please note that this LP does have very minor edge wobble measured at max amplitude of  "<0.05mm" [half of 1mm & only visible at all on side 1]. Thankfully, it's minor enough to have no bearing on the audio reproduction. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intro and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A really very sound player indeed with very little to find fault with. On side 2 there are lots of low-key tracks and buy and large this copy delivers them to a high standard - nice and clean. The only thing I could vaguely notice was a touch of light static in a couple of spots..e.g. the intro to 'Here Comes The Sun'. A beautiful player as I've come to expect from these fantastic 1st pressings.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) This really is one beautifully preserved Abbey Road Cover. It definitely still has the wow factor. A beautiful front shiny like new and with just a couple of thumbnail creases at the opening. The rear is just as good, but with a small patch of creasing in the extreme top left corner. Edge wear is exceptionally light for this title and the openings still sharp. The spine is 100% perfect and that really is not something you can often say. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A really sweet looking copy.
Inner (Ex-) In, unusually, good condition. A 1c.m. edge split.
