Description

An original mono copy of Help! on UK Parlophone for the Xmas 1965 market. Matrix 2/2 - 1st cut. Not one of  the very earliest copies pressed in the summer for the autumn release. This copy would have been available on shelves for the big Xmas push. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover with exposed flipbacks. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and ha only seen reasonably light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very light marks per side - seemingly nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes with superb clarity. It plays clean into those fussier tracks too. Yesterday only exhibited a couple of crackles in a couple of spots. This example is playing much much cleaner than you typically find. Very little to complain at in fact. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) Great to see that iconic image on the front looking so untarnished. Still nice and white - with a trace of ageing [e.g along opening] - but better than you typically find. Just a couple of minor thumbnail creases at the opening - and it lies very nice and flat. Good to see the rear has avoided the worst of the usual ageing process - just a touch in evidence at the extremities. All flipbacks are intact and secure. The spine is 100% intact and the openings are still nice and firm. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine original specimen.
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing and creased. A couple of edge tears have been repaired by tape.
