Description




An original 1st press of Help! on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Please note the labels exhibit the Ariel font [Not Times Roman] and the track 'I Need You' is followed by a space and then an asterisk [all indicative of very 1st press]. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of spots per side [e.g. Yesterday - as is very common]. And at worst a couple of light ticks...A very nice playing true original from '65.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice shape and it's certainly good to see that iconic image on the front looking that well preserved. All I can make out are a couple of minuscule thumbnail creases and overall the front still remains very nice and WHITE. The rear seems to have avoided most of the usual ageing process - just a bit of grubbiness at the opening. Edge wear is light and the spine is all intact with just a couple of spots of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No edge splits.
