An original UK 1st mono press of Help! **Might be of use to someone wishing to upgrade their vinyl**. Matrix 2/2 - 1st cut. Labels are consistent with very 1st press. 'Lark Mus.' - publishing credit remains abbreviated. And the track 'I Need You' exhibits a space between the end of the track and the asterisk [ yes - crazy....but true!]. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono G&L cover. We will ship in a poly-lined Decca inner sleeve from 1965. This is not original to this title - but is original to the period.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. As mentioned above - even if you don't fancy the look of the cover...the LP itself, as a genuine 1st mono issue, is well worthy of consideration as an upgrade. By and large a relatively clean player - but not clean enough to hit the top grades. It sounds fab. Delivery is energetic and punchy with good clarity into the quieter tracks. "Yesterday" plays well - with a bit of light background....respectable. Expect a bit of light static in a couple of tracks per side. Nothing invasive it's just that some tracks play cleaner than others. A really nice player with not all that much to find fault with.
Cover (Vg) A very nice shiny and white front image - just a couple of minor creases. Do note on the rear that it has aged a bit as many copies do from this period [hence the low grading]. It's not unsightly, but it is definitely observable. Edge wear is relatively minor and the spine is in good order with text all visible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Decca Inner (Ex) No ageing and no splits. Sweet!
