An original 1972 Two-Emi Box pressing of Help! on the Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Please note that 'Gramophone' is still mentioned in the perimeter text. These early seventies pressings are well worth considering as they were still tube-cut like their sixties counterparts. You can obtain some quality audio, every bit the match of those early black and yellow copies, at a fraction of the price. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with three flipbacks. Also included is an Emi inner sleeve from the time [not the original one with this release].
Vinyl (Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Just a very nice clean rendition from these Beatles classic tracks. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Great player..
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and its not often you see that iconic front image looking quite this pristine. The front is unaged and totally flat - just a couple of stress creases at the spine. The rear looks superb too with barely a hint of ageing an no marks. Edge wear is unusually light and the openings are still sharp. All flipbacks are secure on the rear. The spine looks pretty much totally intact. Overall the copy retains excellent rigidity. An amazing specimen.
Inner (Ex-) Minimal ageing and no writing. No splits.
