Description

An original 1st press of MMT on the "LP FORMAT" by UK Parlophone from 1976 [i.e. 9 years after 1st release was on 2 X Ep's]. Matrix 1/1 - very 1st cut. Please note that the perimeter text on the labels mentions "EMI" and NOT "All Rights.."..this is indicative of a 1976 copy. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with interior booklet/photo pages. Also included is the original EMI inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Blimey, what a sweet looking slab of vinyl. This copy is clearly very low-mileage and has seen only the lightest use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. This copy is an absolute belter with precious little to find fault with. The audio delivered has super clarity and allows you to hear deep into the mix. Interference is pretty much non-existent.This is a very very clean copy indeed. I'll do my usual catch-all..you might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. But to all intents and purposes..FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) So, the original owner of this LP was clearly one fastidious individual. The exterior of this Lp is absolutely stunning condition. The front and back are absolutely superb. And by that I mean they show practically no wear at all, they are smooth to the touch, the colours are perfectly vivid, and I can only make out a couple of minor indentations down at the foot on the rear + a crease bottom left on the front. If I were being ultra-picky I'd mention a minuscule biro mark in the white horizintal bar on the front to the left of 'Includes..' The interior is impressive too because, for starters, the booklet is fully intact and stapled in place. Now, that alone is incredibly unusual...on many examples this has usually broken away. The booklet pages are all intact and have not been heavily thumbed. The left panel is still nice and white and doesn't seem to have aged much at all. The rear panel hasn't aged either. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. A bit of a one-off in my opinion...
