Description

An original 1973 solid [140gram] EMI pressing pre-oil crisis and tube-cut. Matrix 1/1. "Gramophone" text. Never write off a two boxer! These copies - particularly the earlier copies sound FANTASTIC. For starters - remember, this the same original take/cut for stereo that was used on DAY ONE in 1963! What does that mean? Well, it means that they thought highly of the cut...i.e. if it ain't broke why bother fixing it! You just need to find a perfectly preserved copy. If you have unlimited budget...by all means try and snag a day 1 copy from 63 - but for those with more limited means...the example, here, will sound astoundingly good - better than, possibly, anything you've ever heard before [without having to take out a mortgage]! the combination of high production standards, excellent Emi pressing quality....you will get to witness it like you've never heard it before.The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover.
Vinyl (Ex) Looks great with just a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. PLAYS mostly EX throughout with one slight deviation per side. You might get a slight crackle in a couple of isolated spots. A couple of slightest ticks in one spot per side. But its a super rendition. They just did it better in the old days! All you need to do is stick it on the player, sit back, and gloat at how darn good this record sounds. You will get to fully appreciate the full gamut - amazing reproduction ..clarity like you never knew was possible. And lets face it there's a heck of a lot of audio hidden in those grooves. Why settle for second best? This is a BEATLES classic...snag yourself a perfect copy...before someone else beats you to it!
Cover (Ex).. Beautifully clean flat surfaces. Really impressive for its 50+ years of age. Slightest handling on rear but no ageing. Hardly any edge wear. Four pointy corners. Spine 98% intact. Superb.
Inner (Vg) Some ageing. No splits.
