Are you in need of a vinyl upgrade on your original PPM mono copy? Perhaps you'd like to bag a decent player and, then, look for that hard to find clean cover at a later date?
An original PPM Mono from 1966. Might be of interest to an upgrader. Matrix <1N/2N>. Three years after the early copies, but ostensibly the quality is still very similar. Nice chunky solid sixties vinyl - just like those monster '63 copies. We do NOT have a cover for it. This is a VINYL ONLY listing<<<<
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition for the vintage and has only seen light to moderate use. Expect a few light marks per side - some are visible...but there's nothing feelable. And, remember, these early copies are pressed heavy - there's nothing here that will be in anyway problematic for this bad-boy. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Wide body phat mono sound - just like the early copies are famed for. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. An ideal option for someone looking to upgrade. If your original copy has seen considerable use it is likely to be showing in the audio by now. This copy is playing very clean throughout. Just lovely bold mono audio - a super rendition. There's little to find fault with audibly. A couple of minor ticks as 'Anna' closes out. A few crackles in one brief spot per side - [Just noticeable occasionally in 'There's A Place']. But nothing that noticeable - Said track just won't quite as clean as the rest of the LP [that's all]. That's an excellent strike rate.
