  • Up for sale is this original factory pre-recorded 7 1/2 IPS stereo reel to reel tape of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by The Beatles issued on Ampex Tapes in 1969 in The United States. The tape plays fantastic all the way through on my Akai player with no drop outs & plenty of leader tape on both sides. This has to be the best way to listen to the original analogue stereo mixes from Capitol Records. The vocals sound terrific with great stereo separation. The bass & the orchestra sound like they are in the same room. The reel box is in very good+ condition with no corner splits but has some storage rub wear to the front & back slicks. The factory reel & label are in excellent condition. The original Ampex Tapes catalogue insert is also included. Thanks Frank
