Description
"This ultra-rare West Coast Mono label took longer to confirm it's existence. This label variant was not originally confirmed in Bruce Spizer's famous book "The Beatles Story On Capitol Records, Part Two: The Albums." On page 163 Mr. Spizer wrote:
'Capitol later corrected the label copy to show the complete title of "With A Little Help From My Friends." As the change took place at a time when Mono was being phased out, most Mono discs have labels with the incorrect title, "With A Little Help From My Friends." Only East Coast Mono records with the correct title have been confirmed.'
Later Mr. Spizer authored and released the wonderful book, "The Beatles Swan Song", where he then confirms on page 264, 'Because Mono was being phased out in 1967, Mono corrected labels are much less common than Stereo revised labels. To have the very rare "With" A Little Help From My Friends" label correction AND the seldom seen "All Rights " MacLen cover combined in one package makes for the most collectible example of the U.S. Capitol issue of The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band." This is a West Coast #6 pressing.
This is the unbelievably rare Capitol MAS-2653 Mono record and cover issued in late 1968. Starting in 1967 and ending in 1968 all U.S. record companies had stopped issuing Mono records in favor of the increasingly popular Stereo examples. This fact makes this '68 Pepper's issue that much more collectible!
This great package includes the Psych sleeve and cut-out sheet both in very nice condition!
This cover has both the MACLEN MUSIC INC. and NEMS ENTERPRISES LIMITED copyright print on the back cover!

Side 2 plays at a VG+ sound grade.
The surfaces grade at VG with scuffs and superficial scratches.
