The Beatles White Album LP UK 1st Issue MONO [Vg+/Vg+] "KT" TAX CODE 1/1/3/1

Description

An original 1st issue of the WHITE ALBUM in Mono [from the time of release]. Note that all four labels mention 'Sold In The UK'. Matrix 1/1/3/1. Do bear in mind it is possible to find very early 1st pressings without 'EMI' statement - this example, however, would have been available in shops one month from 1st release. Very nice heavy pressing as you would expect from a 1968 original copy. The vinyl comes housed in an original top-loading embossed cover - number 0163364 [7 digits]. We also have both original black inner sleeves although they are a wee bit tatty. NO poster or photos.
Vinyl (Vg+/Vg+/Ex-/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side, and perhaps one superficial per side - nothing nasty/heavy though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, VERYGOOD+ level of playback with deviation in the odd spot. Intros and inbetweens are mostly quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity by and large. When on song this copy is totally bangin' - it is not exclusively clean in all areas though. I got a bit of crackle in the intro to Prudence and a few crackles as 'Martha' begins. A couple of clicks as 'So Tired' starts up and, then, one non-repeating skip [you lose a couple of words of the chorus]. A few isolated ticks in Buffalo Bill. About four ticks in the intro to Blackbird. Providing you can live with these relatively brief issues - the rest of the LP is gonna sound totally fab. Recommended!
Cover (Vg+) Nice clean and shiny front and rear with just a shade of a ageing as is almost impossible to avoid on these original covers. The interior looks great - no issues. There's a bit of edge wear in places - but nothing that noticeable. the spine is about average with text still legible. But do expect a bit of grubbiness on the spine and a fold running top to bottom [as is very common]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg) Pretty worn - one side fully split and taped up.
