Description
The Beatles - With The Beatles - UK Parlophone Records PMC 1206 1st pressing with Jobete credit for "Money" and "Gotta" text mistake on sleeve and label
Matrix Nos and stampers: Side 1: XEX 447-1N (2 AA) Side 2: XEX 448-1N (2 GG)
Condition: COVER: The Ernest Day front-laminated flipback 1st press sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with no rips, tears or writing, a clean perfectly readable spine and a beautifully straight and unworn opening edge. The rear of the sleeve is still bright and white and the whites on the front are also brilliantly unfaded. To be picky, there is a miniscule amount of ulltra-light storage wear to the rear of the sleeve and some ultra-light creasing to the top and bottom flipbacks. There are also one or two light creases to the front of the sleeve and light storage wear to the laminate which can only be seen at angle. VINYL: Both sides of the record are in EXCELLENT condition and retain a fantastic sheen. There are a handful of ultra-fine hairlines and wispy sleeve-removal traces to both sides, but they do not affect play. LABELS: Both labels are in EXCELLENT PLUS condition with the only visible faults being the tiniest patches of wear around the centre spindle holes (see pics). It is worth noting that this is probably not due to playing as many early 60s records arrived with tiny flaws like this from new. INNER SLEEVE: The original poly-lined "Emitex" inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with no rips or writing, just light creasing commensurate with age. AUDIO: The record plays EXCELLENT PLUS from start to finish with virtually no pops, clicks, groovewear or background noise. Even between tracks, the record is virtually silent. The only tiny faults I could find when I listened were two or three consecutive light pops at the very start of "Money" - the last track on side 2. Other than that, it would be hard to find a better playing copy
A fine collector's example of this rare, very first press 50-year-old record
