Description
Pressing details: This is an authentic early UK mono pressing of With The Beatles on Parlophone PMC 1206. The vinyl carries the -4N/-4N matrix numbers (XEX 447‑4N / XEX 448‑4N) and black/yellow Parlophone labels bearing the “Recording first published 1963” credit, “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” rim text and “Dominion Belinda (Ldn.) Ltd.” publishing credit for “Money”. There is no purchase tax code stamped around the spindle hole, which is one of the documented label variations..
Sleeve & inner: The outer cover is the front‑laminated flip‑back sleeve printed by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London, with catalogue numbers PMC 1206 / PCS 3045 on the lower back. It has the early “GOTTA” spelling on the sleeve track list and the corrected “GOT A” on the label for 'YOU REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME'. The inner sleeve is the correct “Use Emitex” rice‑paper‑lined die‑cut type used between 1963–66.
Condition: The vinyl visually grades EX. It retains a strong gloss, has just a few light paper scuffs and plays cleanly with only the lightest occasional surface noise. There may be a small amount of groove wear, but sounds good. There is a brief low dull clicking near start of 'TILL THERE WAS YOU'. The labels are clean, with minimal spindle wear. The Ernest J. Day sleeve is VG+, with light corner wear, some lamination creases and a small edge bump; the flip‑backs are intact. The inner sleeve is tidy with no tears.
Additional notes: This is a well‑preserved example of one of the most important early Beatles LPs. It's in mono, which was how George Martin originally intended it.
