DESCRIPTION: The Doors- Morrison Hotel LP. 1st UK pressing with Gatefold sleeve, A1/B1 matrix and correct inner sleeve dated 0770.
LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Elektra EKS 75007
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970
COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK.
CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a nice dark sheen and a few light hairlines. Played all of this a couple of times in recent weeks. Sits flat on the turntable. Music is clean, clear and loud throughout. There are a few soft ticks in track one, side one (from a couple of tiny marks on the vinyl) and the odd occasional tick . Cover is in very clean condition, way better than is usually seen and very close to EX. It has only light edgewear , light cornerwear and minimal creasing. Good shape retained to fully legible spine. Very clean inside to gatefold. Very clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Original inner is very clean with no splits and fully attached poly.

GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
