Description

An original 1st press of GREATEST on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1GG/1L - Straight off the 1st mother! The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover. 
Vinyl (Ex+) Wow, a beautiful slab of vinyl and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Pretty much faultless rendition which is all the more impressive as this pressing is from 1968. Obviously the preservation level is significant - but I imagine those early stampers are helping out a great deal too. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Can't imagine a better playing copy - it's a corker. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) Lovely looking shiny front with just a couple of thumbnail creases. The rear seems to have largely avoided the usual ageing process. The flipbacks are all intact and secure. The spine is fully intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. A one inch side split.
