Description

An original mono copy from summer 1969 on the DSS label. matrix 2W/2W - 1st cut. 1st released for the Xmas'67 market - this copy comes from only 18 months later. Stampers 1-BK/1-BK. Which, for a big hit, would suggest quite an early pressing - but given it comes 18 months after 1st release tends to suggest this wasn't a big chart hit! Nice heavy mono Decca pressing all the same. Note that one of the tape numbers on the label is inverted - this indicative of a 60's pressing. The vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover with pinched spine. There's also the original correct Red Mono inner sleeve from the time to. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation in a couple of spots per side. Classical Lps are the fussiest of all genres. This is by no means a real clean player - but it is pretty decent by and large. White Satin - plays superbly! Just a bit of light static in a couple of the quieter moments per side [e.g. intro to side 2]. Overall a great rendition.
Cover (Ex-) A difficult cover to find in top condition - but this example is pretty well preserved. Lovely white front with just a couple of thumbnail creases. The rear ha escaped the usual ageing process - just a touch of light handling. Edge wear is mostly minor and the openings still sharp. The spine looks great with all text still legible - just a couple of stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
