Description

Rare Signed 1st UK Pressing of this classic 1968 jug band / psych album The Purple Gang Strikes..........with A1/B1 Matrices Transatlantic TRA 174 labels...in great audio condition....and labels signed by Geoff Bowyer (writer/washboard/piano) and Joe Beard (writer/guitar)......I know this to be genuine as I bought it off a guy who used to jam with them in the sixties....when he moved out of the area he got his friends Geoff and Joe to sign the record labels as a keepsake before he left... 

The original heavy vinyl has light hairlines.... just a tiny bit of background noise on run ins and between tracks ...... plays superbly all the way through with no sticks, skips or jumps .....terrific clear and powerful sound from this high quality 1st UK pressing.....visual VG to VG+....audio VG++ to EX...sounds great..

The front laminated non-flipback sleeve is in lovely condition with light wear/scuffing to corners and opening .....edges and spine superb .....spine proud and fully legible...... no writing anywhere....VG+

Rare Transatlantic TRA 174 labels in superb condition.....with A1 and B Matrices in runouts...rare 1st UK pressing....in great audio condition....and with band signatures on each label.....see pics and explanation above..
