Description

An original 1st stereo press of BB on the UK Decca label. Matrix 2K/2K. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L stereo cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve dated to 1968. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. And "wow!"...what a copy...
Vinyl (Ex+) In amazing condition and has only seen the very lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very lightest marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. This is a nigh on perfect copy..and within the best couple of copies I've ever witnessed. The audio is to die for....once you've heard a copy like this there's no going back - ha! Intros and inbetweens are pretty much perfectly silent and the audio comes across with amazing clarity. Crank it right up to max - and all you'll get is perfectly resolved super-clean audio. There's not the faintest whiff of background at all. Copies that have survived this well preserved are few and far between - unfortunately. You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. But I've never heard a cleaner copy. Even in all those acoustic low-key passages...just clean and clear. OMG "Factory Girl" is just down right amazing.....FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) Again, the original owner must have been one fastidious individual because these BB covers do not often surface looking quite this sweet. Not perfectly white, but getting close and has certainly avoided the ageing that most other specimens exhibit by this point in time. I can only make out one minuscule thumbnail crease on the front and only very lightest handling on the rear - that really is very unusual indeed. The interior is borderline faultless. Many copies look ok on the face of it - But I can assure you that this copy is the best interior you'll ever find. It is perfectly flat and unmarked - and there's no sign of ageing or foxing...surfaces are perfectly smooth. Edge wear is extremely slight and the openings are still sharp..not bad for a '68 original! The spine looks very nice indeed and has not compressed like many examples. There's a couple of spots of slight ageing/wear, but all text is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a terrific example.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits. Sweet!
