Description
COC69100 Stereo first pressing from 1972 on UK Rolling Stones Records. Matrix A1/B2/C1/D2. Cover is the original Shorewood packaging box/thick-card version. Also included are the original two stiff card board sleeves [square corners]. """THIS IS A DOUBLE LP""".
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) These LP's have only seen moderate use and have been looked after carefully. Under close inspection there's barely a single mark on any of the sides and the surfaces retain all of the original shine. A thorough testing of the records from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and with only occasional minor interference [Further detail per side below...] 'RIK UMA' stamped on two of the lables .....................Audio quality on these 1st issues is absolutely top notch and I very much doubt there are any later remasters that get any where close to the quality of these pressings.
Side 1 (Ex) Very little at fault at all. Playback is powerful. Every nuance audible. One tiny mark right at the end of the outro in track four causes three pops. Side 2 (Ex-) Audio quality as S1, but some light static crackle at the beginning of Sweet Virginia. Otherwise Excellent with minimal interference. Side 3 (Ex-) Audio quality as S1, one or two patches of light static crackle. Minimal - Does not detract from playback at all. Side 4 (Ex) As S1 ...quality sound reproduction.. very little interference at all.
Cover (VG+) Has survived the years well. There is a fair bit of edge wear in places and on the spine. A couple of small splits are apparent, but the overall integrity of the cover is very good. 'RIK UMA' stamped on front cover. In all other respects this is a very good good example of an early original cover.
Sleeves (Ex) Are both in excellent condition with no splits or ring wear.
