Description

An original 1st press of SG on the Rolling Stone label. Matrix 2U/3U. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue uncensored cover. The story goes that when some of the celebrities, or their estates, got wind of this cover they demanded a redaction of some well known faces. The most notable probably being MM's estate - her image is clearly visible, here, but you won't see it on later copies. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. I can make out a couple of light marks both sides, a couple of superficial trails on side 1 - nothing remotely troublesome though. PLEASE NOTE - very slight edge wobble observable on side 1 measured at max amplitude of 0.5mm. Fully tested - zero effect on audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. You can really hear that you're close to those original masters. A very detailed and raw rendition - precisely what you're looking for on this title. A very nice clean player throughout - most copies do not deliver this consistent level of clean playback. All I could detect were a couple of minor ticks early in 'Miss You' & 'Far Away Eyes'. And a solitary click - midway through Beast Of Burden. Overall - a very impressive performer.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition indeed and it still looks very tidy indeed. By and large the die-cuts on the front are in excellent order, but you should be able to spot one that has a tear. Look in the bottom section [yellow]..2nd die-cut from the left. There's a bit of a tear at the bottom edge which I have repaired and inked in black [minor cosmetic issue]. Otherwise - front and rear are in excellent condition with only light handling signs. Edge wear is very minor and the openings still sharp. Four pointy corners. The spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A well preserved original copy.
Inner (Ex-) Really nice. No ageing. All I can make out is a 1 inch edge spit up at the opening. I have tape repaired internally - it is a minor cosmetic issue.
