Description

An original 1st press of STICKY FINGERS on the UK Rolling Stones label. Matrix A4/B3. Etching 'TML - Rolling Stone Records'. Please note the labels do not exhibit 'Promotone' on the labels - verifying 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original pinched spine Robert Stace Zip cover. And 'yes' the zip is in full working order! Also included is the original lyric inner and the original blue text inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks each side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Beautiful audio with great clarity and resolution with even side 2 playing nice and clean. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments on side 2. And even this is very minor. Overall a top-level copy which would be very difficult to improve upon.
Cover (Ex) Has survived the years in impressive form. Very nice and clean front and back and seems to have avoided most of the usual ageing that afflicts these covers. The zip is in much better condition than you usually find - it moves easily..no fusing. The rear is in nice condition too with just a couple of the typical indentations you often find from the zip. There's a bit of edge wear, but nothing too significant. The text on the spine is a bit hit and miss - you can just about make it out. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very fine specimen.
Lyric insert (Ex) Very Clean. No tears or markings.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Bit of ageing at the extremities.
