In 1969 "Get Together" became a national anthem for peace, love and brotherhood. The song was a Billboard smash hit.
However, this song was originally released in 1967 by The Youngbloods, without much fanfare.
The original 1967 was issued in RCA black labels (not orange labels), with a different b-side song. The 1967 original release was a flop, and quickly faded away (not many copies were pressed).
In 1969, the song gained popularity, because it was featured in a Public service commercial.
This 45 is the original and very rare 1967 version. 45 is in NM condition, great, clean sound and very glossy. 45 comes with a very clean 1967 matching company sleeve.
