The Tubby Hayes Quintet "Down in the Village" LP on Fontana (886 163 TY), stereo, 1962. Original UK pressing of one of the most sought-after British jazz LPs and, in my opinion, Tubby's finest record by far, stellar from start to finish, especially the title track, modal jazz at its sublimest. Tubby Hayes: tenor, soprano saxes, vibes; Jimmy Deuchar: trumpet; Gordon Beck: piano; Freddy Logan: bass; Allan Ganley: drums.

Tracks include: Johnny One Note, But Beautiful, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Down in the Village, In the Night, First Eleven.

Vinyl is M- (minor paper scuffs, clean textured labels). Cover is VG++ (minor wear in upper right corner, clean glossy cover). Very tough to find in better condition.

I'm also familiar with the feeling of receiving a record in worse condition than described and feeling cheated; I have no desire to have any transaction end that way here.
