2 Test pressings Spring 1985 from the U.K. single releases of "The Unforgettable Fire."
#1 - test pressing of Side A of the 12" vers. of THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE Ep (Island 12 IS 220), which is "The Three Sunrises" and "The Unforgettable Fire." Matrix number checks. Side B is a test tone which is pressed off-center. Inner paper sleeve indicates '14 Mar 1985.' Originally received in mailer without cardboard sleeve, but a generic black one has been provided for protection. Labels have handwritten song titles on side A, blank on side B. **** PLEASE NOTE: THIS 12" DOES NOT HAVE THE MUSIC OF SIDE B - JUST THE TEST TONE! This is a test press of side A ONLY. Original owner.
#2 - test pressing of of Side A from the second record in THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE 7" double-pak (Island ISD 220). Matrix number checks. A side is a test tone with song info on label. Side B label is blank, but this is where the two songs are: "Love Comes Tumbling" and "Sixty Seconds in Kingdom Come. Label is stamped '26 Mar 1985' U2 Double Pack Record 2 - A2 second cut' (although it is Record 2, but both songs are there. I am not the original owner of this and it is not as pristine as the 12" with some scratchiness evident. I'd call it Very Good, however. Comes in black 7" sleeve.
