Description
This is a MINT, UNPLAYED, BRAND NEW copy of this item, obtained directly from the vault of Spring Records, aka Marble Music company, an entity shown on the label which really is the same company as Spring. Those of you obsessed with virginity, take note.
I've googled that this record's style is doo-wop, but can't vouch for sure as I did not play the record. It has never been played.
Matrix data on the "Gift of Love" side: a triangle followed by 30867; then halfway around the center, 45 S-100 Matrix data on "Guardian Angel" side: a triangle followed by 30868; then halfway around the center, 45 S-101
Everything's engraved by hand; no machine-stampings.
The "Catalano" listed as co-songwriter on the label is Vince Catalano; he was an original doo-wopper involved in the Trickles (circa 1956); the Acorns (circa 1960); and the Laurels (circa 1963). In 1962 he wrote a song the early Beach Boys did, called "Little Girl, You're My Miss America." Go Vince! (Herb Alpert is credited as co-writer of that song; but Herb didn't actually do any of the song's composing; he was credited as a business deal in exchange for his company doing the first recording of the song, i.e. prior to the Beach Boys' version.)
