Description
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND
The Velvet Underground (MGM CS 8108) 1969
Here's a rare copy of their third album, as released in the UK in May 1969. The front-laminated flipback sleeve has the horizontal-split picture of Lou Reed, and the album has the accidentally-used Val Valentin mix (including a completely different take of 'Some Kinda Love') instead of the one that features on subsequent pressings.
The sleeve is VG+ and would be EX but for some sticker remnants on the lower left-hand side of the back. These aren't too obtrusive, and may be removeable with patience.
The vinyl is VG, with minor marks. It plays well with occasional surface noise, but nothing too bad, and would almost certainly improve with a proper clean.
