(Professionally cleaned with a Pro-Ject VC-S MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner)

This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

After giving her a gentle vacuum clean, I played through both sides-at volume.
I was not disappointed wth the audio playback! The audio blasted out with force and clarity...Yes there was some very occasional light background crackle and some occasional soft pops in some parts but nothing offensive what-so-ever.
 I noticed the first track on side 1 had a tiny micro skip right at the start and then there was another tiny, tiny skip on Prudence...Maybe a heavier stylus than mine would play over these small sections?...The rest of the two discs played through without any futher issues.
Disc 2 is lovely and clear, with wondeful deep troughs and high, crisp peaks....I have recorded a clip of the quiet Mother Natures Son to show off this tracks utter clarity.
Both vinyls carry just light marks to the vinyls.

The Labels:

NOT ONE OF THE LABELS HAS THE EMI STATEMENT...Showing this to truely be one of the first off the press, back in the day.
 All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
Each also have the 1st press: "SOLD IN THE UK..." statements.

There are light spindle marks to each label, these can really be seen when angling towards the light. The only point of note are small initials to side 1 and a small patch of lifting-which can been seen when angling towards the light but not when looking down on her.
VERY NICE!!
Only very slight central hole wear-as can be seen in the detailed images provided.
"Mfd in the U.K." text to each of the labels.

The Cover:

 It is the very first printing run, with TOP loading and a creamy finish (rather than the later brilliant white editions).
 Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains strong.
There is just ever-so slight rubbing near the opening at the top but I am being ULTRA critical here as it certainly is nothing at all to worry about.
Superb cover-creamy white, with just a couple of very small and insignificant crescents of spidering.

She really is ready for play and then display!

Correct MONO cover as it doesn't have the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.
GLORIOUS and clean on the inside of the gatefold.

3 present (John and George & Paul) Ringo has gone off on holiday somewhere...easy enough to find though-just shout 'Peace and Love' repeatedly and he'll turn up ;)
They are in SUPERB condition too...NO pin holes anywhere. I did notice when taking photo's there is a little logo to each saying printed in USA. Please see the detailed images for yourselves.
