This is a reasonably priced lot consisting of FOUR U.S. VANGUARD JAZZ SHOWCASE RECORDS 10" MONO DEEP GROOVE LPs from The Vic Dickenson Septet, featuring pianist Sir Charles Thompson.  All four records are original 1953 and 1954 thick rigid vinyl deep groove pressings, all four covers are thick cardboard.  Vanguard Records labels are maroon with silver print.  PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE CAREFULLY AND NEATLY REPAIRED ALL NOTED SPLITS BY TAPING FROM THE INSIDE.  Details are as follows:
1) VIC DICKENSON SEPTET VOLUME 1 - Vanguard Jazz Showcase VRS-8001 - 1953 - Record VG+ with a few light surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play - Cover VG with a 3" split with some old brown adhesive residue in the right side of the top edge, some contact and ring wear, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners.

2) VIC DICKENSON SEPTET VOLUME 2 - Vanguard Jazz Showcase VRS-8002 - 1953 - Record VG with a few light surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play, and a couple of surface scratches which can be felt and which will cause some ticks for a few revolutions - Cover VG with a split down the entire length of the spine, a little writing in black pen near the bottom right corner of the back cover, some contact and ring wear, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners.

3) VIC DICKENSON SEPTET VOLUME 3 - Vanguard Jazz Showcase VRS-8012 - 1954 - Record EX with just a couple of very light surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play - Cover VG+ with a 1" split in the top edge at the top right corner, a little writing in black pen near the bottom right corner of the back cover, some contact and ring wear, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners.

4) VIC DICKENSON SEPTET VOLUME 4 - Vanguard Jazz Showcase VRS-8013 - 1954 - Record a SOLID NM with no surface marks; record has one small bump in the play surface which is a very slight manufacturing defect which has absolutely no effect on play - Cover VG+ with a 1" splits in the top edge and the spine at the top left corner, a little writing in black pen near the bottom right corner of the back cover, some contact and ring wear, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners.
