JEFF WAYNE "The War Of The Worlds" HALF SPEED MASTERED MASTERSOUND Audiophile Double LP set (COLUMBIA H2C 45290). One of the rarest titles in the MASTERSOUND series. With gatefold sleeve and original 16 page booklet with Illustrations, Lyrics and credits. Great concept album featuring spoken word by RICHARD BURTON and a great cast of musicians: JUSTIN HAYWARD (of THE MOODY BLUES), PHIL LYNOTT (of THIN LIZZY), CHRIS THOMPSON (of MANFRED MANN’S EARTH BAND), DAVID ESSEX, and many others. Comes with original Mastersound insert and MFSL Style Anti-Static innersleeves. Includes the classics: Forever Autumn, The Eve of war, etc. Sleeve is Near Mint. Record One has some superficial spindle scuff marks on Side One (does not seem to have any effect on play). Record Two is Near Mint.
