Description

This is the complete package for Jeff Wayne's ambitious musical version of "War of the Worlds" project, written & produced by Jeff along with his father, theatrical producer Jerry Wayne, over 2 1/2 years. First is the gatefold double LP containing the dialogue & 13 songs. Includes a 12"x12" 16-page booklet with the dialogue & beautiful drawings. Dialogue by Sir Richard Burton with music by Julie Covington, David Essex, Justin Hayward, Phil Lynott, Jo Partridge & Chris Thompson. Both LP's are very nice with only minor surface marks & jacket has minor corner bumps & a very little ring wear (photos 1-6). Second is the U.K. 12" picture disc featuring Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues singing "Eve of the War" (photos 7 & 8).Thirdly is the promo 12" colored vinyl single from Canada of "Thunderchild" sung by Chris Thompson of Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Vinyl is a beautiful translucent yellow & black swirl. Cover has a small drill hole on the bottom right corner (photos 9-11). All in all, it's the complete package.
