AN OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL COPY OF THEIR MUCH BERATED PROG MASTERPIECE
LOOKS UNPLAYED
LABELS: MINT an immaculate set of labels - no spindle traces or any signs of use
RECORDS: MINT all four vinyl surfaces shine like-new and the whole set plays like new from start to finish - beautiful copy - very highly recommended indeed
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT clean and unmarked - some ring/rub to the edges/surfaces/spine - nothing major
INNER SLEEVES: NEAR MINT no seam splits just light age toning

The album's concept, a two-disc, four-piece work of symphonic length and scope (based on the Shastric scriptures, as found in a footnote within Paramahansa Yogananda's book Autobiography of a Yogi), was their most ambitious to date developing stronger prog/jazz rhythms than before (explored later and in more depth on Relayer).
On release it received notably hostile reviews. Gordon Fletcher in Rolling Stone described it as "psychedelic noodling" and Chris Welch in Melody Maker described it as "Brilliant in patches, but often taking far too long to make its various points, and curiously lacking in warmth or personal expression".
Yes fans still remain divided over whether or not this is one of the group's stronger works. Some claim it's far too excessive and obscure, while others see it as one of the band's masterpieces
