Description

Yes, Tales From Topographic Oceans Double LP Album, Prog Rock, Original 1973 UK 1st press (variant 4) on Atlantic label, Stereo K80001 EX to EX+ Condition. No Atlantic logo on label consistent with 1st press. Please note there does seem to be an error in the machine stamped matrix number on side one. It should read K80001 A2, but reads A3. Everything else checks out, so I must assume it to be a stamping error.

Matrix / Runout (Run-out area A-side, Machine stamped (variant 4)): K 80001 A3??? (Should be A2???)
Matrix / Runout (Run-out area B-side, Machine stamped (variant 4)): K 80001 B2
Matrix / Runout (Run-out area C-side, Machine stamped (variant 4)): K 80001 C2
Matrix / Runout (Run-out area D-side, Machine stamped (variant 4)): K 80001 D3

I have been a collector of vinyl for a very long time and am now at the stage where I need to start selling my collection. I have only collected records that were in good condition or better, unless they were very rare. All of my records will be play tested (played on a vintage Toshiba deck) as well as being accurately described visually. Please feel free to contact me for any further information.

Vinyl (EX+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly very good level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few static crackles in a couple of isolated moments. On side 2 'The Remembering' there is one brief moment of crackle for a matter of seconds, it is not overly invasive and quickly disappears. Wow what a fantastic sounding album, there best in my opinion!

Cover (EX+) is in impressive condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. Front and back are very nice and clean with only minor creasing, mainly on the corners. There is a slight indentation mark from the vinyl. The interior is in superb condition - no real issues at all, again only very slight wear. The edges have minimal wear and the spine is still rigid . The whole cover itself retains excellent rigidity and remains a fine example. There is a faint mark on the top left, looks like label residue.

Inner (Ex+) one is original the other is generic. Bit of light ageing. No edge splits.
