7" single: SPENCER MAC "Better By You, Better Than Me" b/w "Commuter" (Penny Farthing PEN 742) 1970 UK demo pressing
You are bidding on the rare second UK original vinyl SPENCER MAC single. Currently in white-hot demand on the mod scene, with funk collectors starting to take note. Both sides feature great Hammond, swirling strings, throbbing basslines, percussion breakdowns and are pure dancefloor dynamite. "Commuter" is a great proggy instrumental which definitely has "the groove" and amazingly manages to cram 5 3/4 minutes into the groove! Foreign issues of Spencer Mac occasionally surface, but this is the ultra-rare original UK pressing, and to cap it off is a Green "A" label demo. Nice! CONDITION : EX (Sleeve/Record)
DESCRIPTION : Record is in nice shape - has minimal paper sleeve scuffs and plays excellent. B-side plays with very light surface noise during intro - even my own mint copy plays with this, no doubt caused by the length of the track they managed to cram onto a 7"! Nothing to worry about. Comes in original Penny Farthing company sleeve. NB: Please note that this single has the large hole style centre, the centre is not missing - it never had one in the first place...

NOTES I am first and foremeost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit.
