THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
This superb UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial July 1964 release on black & yellow Parlophone labels: PMC 1230
Both labels have the early 'chubby' font with the 'Sold in UK....' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper codes: 6/ROA & 8/RAR
Vinyl weight: 170g
Housed within the rarer front laminated, early-style flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover, complete with original 'Use Emitex..', rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
An extremely clean & unworn set with just a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which bear no significant marks or wear strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless wispy paper hairlines consistent with the few times this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve removal, but little else.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This well looked-after disc has received a minimal amount of careful play and sounds superb with warm, clean & unworn mono power throughout. Apart from a touch of wear on the final two tracks on side 1, my single careful playcheck at volume detected no audible distractions of any kind on or between any of these incredible tracks.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this scarce cover variant which retains a bright, clean & glossy front panel laminate bearing just two small 'thumbnail' wrinkles, but no other significant traces of wear. There is a touch of wear to the right corners but none whatsoever to either razor-sharp opening edges.
The exposed rear panel is extremely clean & bright white with no blemishes or wear to any area. All of the delicate flipbacks are fully intact with just small stains in the right corners.
Both seams are smooth, unstressed an unsplit and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with a touch of natural age-toning to the paper but no writing, seam splits or tears.
